Choose Your Own Golf Adventure
A complete itinerary will be emailed prior to the Media Tour with all information: flight arrangements, hotel accommodations, golf course tee times, rental car reservations, evening and social activities, phone numbers, etc. You have various golf course options along with the scheduled group outings.
Weather
Early June means blues skies, fresh mountain air and comfortable day time temperatures in the high 60s to high 70s, with evenings cooling to the low 40s and high 50s.
Elevation
Reno and Carson City/Valley are at 4,700' elevation, Lake Tahoe at 6,300', Graeagle at 4,000', and Truckee at 5,840'. Which means a golf ball carries up to 10% farther here, so tee it high and generate some hang time! (And two drinks are like four and four are like eight, so pace yourself accordingly!
Clothing
Golf clothes are acceptable at all functions. It's warm enough for shorts during the day, while sweaters in the evening would be comfortable.
Hints and Tips
Gratuities: you are required to handle valet, bellman, all meals, showroom entertainment, room service, bag drop, club cleaning, and any other service that merits.
Don’t Drink and Drive! If you’ve had a few, let us know and we’ll arrange transportation. The Highway Patrol in both Nevada and California are strict, tough and don’t tolerate drinking and driving. Call for a ride because we do not budget for bail!
Other Expenses: you are responsible for room service charges, phone calls, in-room movies, filling rental car with gas prior to airport return.
Major Credit Card: a number is required on your RSVP form for rental car reservation, hotel pre-registration. (Car insurance is NOT included. Your own personal policy should cover your needs but please check with your insurance company before the Media Tour. We will not be responsible for extra insurance coverage.)
